It is of some comfort to the family that the record is now being put straight, but they hope that the IPCC investigation will be expedited and thorough, and that there will be a prompt referral to the CPS for charge

The family’s solicitors have know about this result for a week, but were asked by the IPCC to keep quiet whilst investigations were carried out.
In a response, the Independent Police Complaints Commission said: “Following the initial results of the second post mortem, a Metropolitan police officer has been interviewed under caution for the offence of manslaughter as part of an ongoing inquiry into the death of Ian Tomlinson.”
This is utter bullshit and more spin, in a week when McBride was causing the Government emarrassment, after twenty years Hillsborough and the sealed files on the Police failures lead to booing at the memorial, and Brown finally did a half hearted apology.
It seems Dr Patel appeared to the Police to be somebody who came up with the right answer.
This Government is still lying, still spinning to preserve itself. When they start killing innocent members of the public and covering their tracks for a week, it is tantamount to bodies being found at the bottom of stairs ‘who have slipped’.
