The CIA has told Obama that British-Pakistanis represent the most likely source of another 9/11.
We might have expected a strong statement of support for the British-Pakistani community from the Government repudiating the racial profiling in that statement; not according to a ‘whistleblower’ report in the Sunday Telegraph, which alleges that ‘I’m lodging with my sister’, Jacquie Smith has possibly colluded with the Americans to allow CIA spooks to operate here in flagrant contravention of British law. The report claims that a Foreign Intelligence agency, the CIA, is actively snooping on, and recruiting informers and “intelligence assets” here on the streets of the United Kingdom, outside of the direct control of the British intelligence agencies and outside the legal powers and protections under which they are supposed to work.
They are hardly lonely here either, for we are also told that spies from North Korea, China, Russia, Syria and Iran, along with France and Germany, are also spying on us from within our own country. No wonder Ken wanted the congestion charge. You thought all those Iranians, North Koreans and Syrians cluttering the pavement in Bayswater Road were just waiting to get their political asylum approved? Think again.
Back in 2008, Jacquie Smith said it was ‘illegal for foreign intelligence agencies to operate in this country’, will Davey Boy think to ask her in parliament how that statement matches up with this one:
The British official said: “The Americans run their own assets in the Pakistani community; they get their own intelligence. There’s close cooperation with MI5 but they don’t tell us the names of all their sources.
“Around 40 per cent of CIA activity on homeland threats is now in the UK. This is quite unprecedented.”
What now for British sovereignty?
