Getting rich by stealing from the poor.

Posted on January 17, 2009January 19, 2025 by admin

Something socialists love to harp on about is how all those wealthy people out there are only wealthy because they exploit the poor.

It’s a disgusting thing to do. Imagine taking money from poor people and using it to fund your own lavish lifestyle. Imagine living on five- or six-figure incomes, with expenses, with money taken from the downtrodden and underpaid workers of this country.

Who would do such a vile and reprehensible thing?

These people, that’s who.

I was in a union once. They did absolutely nothing when I was made redundant. Then, a year later when I was self-employed, they sent me a letter asking why I had stopped paying my union dues. I replied. They didn’t press the matter.

The Toynbees of the world love to groan and bluster about the evil capitalists, just as the union bosses love to whine and bleat about how their workers are paid too little. All the people making this noise have sums of money in their banks that could boost the average worker’s salary at once, should they choose to follow the socialist principles they claim to hold so dear. Not only will they never do it, they continue taking money from those who can’t afford to pay them and fritter it away on luxuries for themselves.

According to figures obtained by The Times, Derek Simpson, joint general secretary of Unite, received £89,035 in benefits on top of his £105,217 salary in 2007 – giving him the largest package of any general secretary. His total pay and perks, including pension, housing benefit, employers’ national insurance and car benefit, worked out at £194,252.

Not bad for someone who claims to represent the poorly paid. Not too shabby at all, for someone who insists his underpaid members continue to fund his lifestyle. Equality? What’s that? Solidarity? Something to do with ice, eh, Derek?

There’s another ‘joint general secretary’ in Unite, one Tony Woodley:

Over Christmas it was reported that he was seeking a lump sum of up to £100,000 to vacate a heavily subsidised London flat granted to him as an inter-union favour by the Confederation of Shipbuilding and Engineering Unions (CSEU).

The flat was a favour. They want their flat back now. He wants a hundred grand to get out. Anyone else would soon see some large men with bats.

The property, a historic building close to Westminster, was Mr Woodley’s home for 15 years, rented at a fixed price of £200 a month with his electricity and heating bills included.

London city centre, rent, electricity and heating all included in £200 a month. I don’t think you can rent a parking space for that amount these days, but the perks don’t end there:

This was never declared to the regulator because, Unite says, it is a benefit “from a third party”. It has never been registered as a residential dwelling so Mr Woodley has never paid any council tax on it. Unite refused to comment on this matter.

No council tax. What a result! Almost everyone on his list of members would love to be in that situation, but none are. No, they just pay for it with their subscriptions, which fund his salary and expenses totalling £112,202.

Every one of these so-called ‘workers party’ representatives is the same. Every one of them sits on a hoard of wealth while insisting that those on modest incomes are taxed more to provide benefits for their ‘poor, downtrodden workers’ who these same socialists then milk for more cash for themselves. And they have a legion of dimwitted supporters who can’t see it!

The middle classes are portrayed as evil, and these wealthy parasites delight in setting up class-war arguments so they can tax the middle class and take subscriptions from the working class. In between, they have their gullible foot-soldiers who don’t see that the ‘socialists’ they work for are ten times richer than the so-called ‘wealthy’ they target.

Forget capitalism. If you want to be filthy rich and stamp on the faces of the poor while you get there, become a socialist. They’re better at it, and best of all, they have a mass of ideology-blinded morons who will help them stamp harder.

Wake up, workers. Your anger has been misdirected all along.
