Here is a plan for stimulating the economy that does not involve the Banks, declare March Tax Free month.
Nobody has PAYE or NI deducted from their salary in March, the Government are just wasting it anyway.
Plus points-
People will see what they are really earning as opposed to what is left after they have been robbed blind.
Those with debts and overdrafts can reduce them at a stroke (others admittedly will go on the lash, but pubs and restaurants are struggling), savers can stuff cash under the bed or even start investing
People will wake up to the fact that the world will keep turning without punitive Taxes and ask why are they paying so much.
Central and local Government will have to draw their horns in and sack all the diversity managers et al
Businesses can have a month off being pursued by HMRC
Brown/Cameron/Clegg will stop making promises of how they are going to spend our money.
Go on give it whirl, the States have had Tax rebates,( its better than ‘quantative easing’)
